We’re big on leading by example at CrossFit Palm Beach.
This means we expect all of our coaches to take at least 15 classes each month. It also means when our coaches are in class, we want them to carry themselves like an ideal athlete in those classes.
Athletes should be on time for class and take each class from start to finish. They should pay attention at the whiteboard and come ready to learn. They should move to the best of their abilities and be coachable. They should add value to the experience of others by bringing a positive energy and putting the needs of others above their own. They should be open to modifying and scaling when appropriate to preserve the stimulus of the workout.
If we aren’t willing to do it as coaches, we shouldn’t ask or expect our athletes to do it either.
