A boot-camp style class can be a great way to get more people to try your gym, increase revenue and profits, and allow you to help people earlier in their fitness journey.
But many gym owners are adding boot-camp style programs with no strategic plan, and the program ends up looking like a watered-down version of their CrossFit classes.
We made this mistake the first time we launched this type of program at CrossFit Palm Beach, and we ended up having to shut it down after a few months.
If you want to make this new program successful, you have to treat it as its own brand and culture. You need to aim to create a different experience from start to finish, not just remove the barbell and some technical gymnastics movements, and hope people won’t notice that it’s actually CrossFit.
This episode covers some of the key ways to launch and run a successful bootcamp program, including branding, programming, and how long these classes should be.
