Episode 144 – How to Do Personal Training the RIGHT Way with Charlie Lima

If you own or coach at a group class gym, you know how difficult it can be to implement personal training into your existing customer base. In order to be successful with PT, we first have to realize that the clients that are looking for one-on-one training, are often very different from those that are looking for group classes.

They don’t want to be thrown in the corner of a loud and grungy gym where they are doing a version of what the group class is doing, but with a babysitter. They want a more intimate and upscale atmosphere where each session is specific to their background and goals.

In this week’s episode, I have Charlie Lima of BoomFit Personal Training and CrossFit College Station on the show to discuss all things personal training. Charlie has such a unique passion and viewpoint on PT, as he’s been a personal trainer for over 18 years, and owns an incredible gym that has a separate CrossFit gym and personal training studio.
